President's Message
Welcome to Northwest Ohio Human Resource Association (NOHRA) and to 2021! I am honored to serve the NOHRA organization in this role. My Board of Directors and I have been hard at work planning programs that keep our members on the cutting edge of human resource trends.
Our programs are centered around serving the needs of our members. The Annual Engagement survey we hold in the fall helps us identify and meet those needs. Your feedback is always welcome! Some of our goals for 2021 programs include workforce trends, strategic planning, shape & drive company culture, employee recognition and retention and Emotional Intelligence. Visit our website often to view the calendar of events and to register (www.toledoshrm.org).
Our Inclusion conference planned for April will be fantastic, as you’ve come to expect nothing less! The conference will help leaders take steps to make inclusion a priority within their organizations. It’s time to not only talk about change, but to take great strides towards implementing those changes in 2021.
Our workforce readiness committee continues to provide programs related to specific under served segments of our communities including veterans, those with disabilities, the formerly incarcerated, and college and high school students. These engaging programs can be found on our website. Don’t miss out on this “out of the box” programming!
This summer we plan to hold the Annual NOHRA Golf Outing to benefit the Jim Vassar Foundation! The golf outing is a long-standing tradition and a lot of fun!
Finally, I know we truly miss networking. As soon as we can get together again, we will make networking a priority!
I hope you will join us this year as we advance our knowledge and look toward the future!
I look forward to seeing you all again soon! Please reach out if you have questions or want to get involved!
Michelle Wing, SHRM-CP
