Companies, employees and families across Ohio and the world are facing unprecedented challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic. In turn, there is a lot of information on how to address workplace issues filling our inboxes and the airwaves. We have created this resource page as a compass to help human resource professionals and companies across Ohio navigate these uncharted waters. If you need additional assistance we recommend you work with your legal counsel, accountant, or consulting firm.

Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

In lieu of the Annual Golf Outing, NOHRA is hosting a Golf Ball Drone Drop benefiting the Jim Vassar Foundation, taking place during the October General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. The Drop will be previously recorded at Bedford Hills Golf Club and shown by video.

Golf balls that are purchased individually or through sponsorship will be placed in a large net carried by the drone and dropped above a putting green. There will be 1 main hole and 8 mini flags around the main hole. There will be numerous winners for the balls that make a "hole-in-one" and/or land closest to the mini flags. The winners will receive a prize(s).

Purchasers will not need to be present, as the Drop will be recorded and shown at the October General Membership Meeting (in-person or webinar TBD).

Sponsorship opportunities are available! Click HERE for the 2020 sponsorship opportunities.

Webinar- How to Build a Better Boss

Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 11:30 AM to 1:15 PM

Effective managers are key to any organization succeeding. If you are looking to bring a strategic edge to your organization, training and developing those managers is a key component. This presentation will show the importance of balancing performance management, strategic goals and initiatives, wants and needs of employees and managers, and tight budgets while working to implement a culture of learning. The outcome will be managers who are more effective and a workforce that is motivated, educated, and turns over infrequently.

In this session, participants will learn to proactively initiate (or adeptly respond to a request for) a “management training program.” Specifically, they will learn techniques to identify need, gather relevant data, leverage performance management, and communicate findings to senior management. They will also learn how to keep a program energized and permanently ingrain it into the organization’s culture, all the while communicating its success in the language of business.

11:30-12:00pm NOHRA Business Meeting
12:00-1:00pm Presentation
1:00-1:15pm Officer nominations and speeches

You will receive an email 2 days before the event with login details. If you do not receive an email from MightEvent with login information, please check your junk folder and then email Arrangements.chair@toledoshrm.org.
