Assoc Dir, Total Rewards – Compensation and Retirement programs
The Associate Director, Total Rewards provides leadership and oversight for the University of Toledo's Total Rewards Team (which includes compensation, retirement, and leave administration). This position is responsible for the development of compensation and classification programming including policy and procedure development. This position will lead compensation analysis, market pricing, benchmark studies, and job description development.
Responsibilities also include the coordination, direction, and supervision of daily activities of Retirement plan administration including vendor coordination and leave of absence management.
In addition, the position ensures that assigned total reward programs meet all legal requirements, works closely with internal/external customers to develop, and execute well defined short- and long-term strategies to attract, reward and retain top talent, and identify and participate in organizational re-design efforts to gain efficiencies and increase customer satisfaction levels throughout the university.
Education/experience/licensing:
- Bachelor’s in business or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Human Resources with compensation or benefits expertise.
- Proficient with analytical and statistical tools and PC programs, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written presentation skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple
way and to tailor key messages and presentation style to multiple audiences. - Goal oriented and possesses the ability to prioritize on a consistent basis in an ever-changing environment.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
